It was a long time ago that I was a kid, but I remember eating pop corn so many times in elementary school that I could recite the lyrics to every pop song by heart. It didn’t make sense, but I had been eating them for so many years that I didn’t have any clear memory of them. Well, I’ve since been to college, but I still remember eating them like they were the best and the most delicious thing ever.
Pop corn is so much more than just a snack food. It’s a classic American food, and there are many variations on it. The most popular is the sweet whole corn you get from a package of frozen corn, but there are corn-less varieties as well. The most popular, and most healthy, is the frozen corn you can buy at a super-market or convenience store.
I have a stack of corn-less and frozen corn snacks that I use in my office for special occasions and I can still count on them for a good long time. The whole corn is high in fiber and protein and is full of nutrients like iron, magnesium, and potassium – all essential for the proper functioning of the body. And then there’s the pop corn you get when you order the regular corn at the store, but you pay more for that because of the sweetener.
I’m always telling my friends that they are going to need to pay a little more attention to their diet if they want to lose weight. I know this because a few of my friends have told me they were eating an entire candy bar every single day. Not good at all. If you are at a super-convenience store and you see a bag of those fat-free and sugar-free pop corn, ask the woman behind the counter for a bag of the regular corn.
Although the regular corn isn’t exactly sweet, it is just as calorie-dense as the sweet corn, and we all know why you love it. The sweet corn’s sweetener also contains sugar, making that corn taste like it is a mixture of sugar and corn. But the fat-free and sugar-free pop corn are pretty much just as delicious. It is also more affordable than regular corn, so that might be why you’re eating more of it.
I love it when we get a new candy store on campus. I love it when I go to my local grocery store, and can get the same thing for less money. I love it when I get a bag of the candy corn at the candy store and can put a piece in my mouth and not even realize its full. When I try to lick the bag, it tastes like a combination of my mother’s and my grandmother’s candy corn, and that is just the best.
The skinny pop corn is a favorite in my family, and I know this because my family loves it too. I grew up watching it on TLC’s “The Dukes of Hazzard” and ”Beverly Hills, 90210,” and I have a picture of the scene in both shows. It is pretty self-explanatory, but sometimes I forget I am watching a classic.
