My favorite part of owning this phone is that I can get a full Samsung Galaxy series upgrade for just $99. I also love that the phone is incredibly compact, so I can carry it around almost anywhere when I’m running errands and need to go to the grocery store. It’s small, so it doesn’t take up a lot of room in my purse, which is always a plus in my book.
I find that phones with larger screens are more difficult to use, but as a matter of fact my phone has a very wide screen, and I have a tendency to scroll up and down it a lot. The WF45R6100 has a very small display, so when I am scrolling back and forth I tend to do it slowly, slowly, and slowly. I can understand this being on the “not so good” side of usability.
One of the major selling points of the WF45R6100 is its larger screen. Samsung is making a big deal out of this because they are pushing the idea that small phone screens are a good thing and we should all be using them. The problem is that this is only true if you have the phone with a large screen.
The WF45R6100 has a 5.5” screen. That’s larger than your average tablet and tablet screen. So why do I need a big screen for this phone? Because a big screen is one of the main reasons we have tablets. But also because with a large screen and a smaller display, it’s very difficult to navigate. Now I understand why people would want to use a smaller screen because the small screen is easier to read.
However, with its large screen and small display, it’s also more difficult to read text, so we’re left to use a finger. That’s why the WF45R6100 is a tablet. The tablet is good for what it is, and that’s all that matters.

This is not a problem with this phone, but it does still make it a little frustrating, especially when you’re trying to listen to music on it.
This is a problem with any Android device. This means that you need to buy headphones to listen to music with the WF45R6100. This feature is included on the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S3, but missing on the WF45R6100. If you have any headphones, either purchased or on order, that you can sell, or just don’t own, feel free to drop me a note. I will add one of my own to the list of missing features.
The WF45R6100 has now been out for a year and is still the least expensive Android phone in the market. If you can only buy an Android phone for $50-$100, this is not a problem. If however you are willing to spend a little more, you can get a Galaxy S4 or S3 for a little more in the $60-70 range. Again, if you can get your hands on either of these devices, you can save some money.

Samsung is a known brand that has been around for quite a while, and while the Galaxy S4 may be cheaper in the US, the WF45R6100 is a new phone in the US.
