The point is that the average number of times that we visit a doctor is pretty much the same for all of us. The number of times we visit our family physician is also pretty much the same.
So yeah, while the blood pressure monitor may be a cute gadget, it’s really just a convenient thing to fill our medicine cabinets with. In fact, the number of times we visit our family physician is almost as important as the number of times we visit our personal physician.
We’re not supposed to see as many doctors as we do, but the fact is, we need to check our blood pressure and blood sugar in order to be able to do our jobs. We need to be able to do our job, that’s what we’re paid to do, and we need that check in order to keep from doing it all.
Now that we don’t have to suffer through endless hours of doctor visits, we can concentrate our attention on the things that really matter. We don’t have to worry about going to the doctor to talk about our health, because instead we have a computer that tells us about what we ate last night and the blood pressure and the blood sugar of all those we go to see.

If that means that every time you get blood pumped, it takes some pressure out of your system, it’s a good thing.

If you are going for a walk in the park and see your blood pressure shoot up, you need to stop and call your doctor right away.
