It was a busy 2018 for toyota and my car. After a year of using my vehicle, I have been through quite a few things with the company’s recent issues with Toyota dealerships.
Toyotas have a strong reputation for being reliable, but they also have some of the worst customer service out there. To give you a rough idea of what I’m talking about, I got my first oil change from a dealer in the summer of 2016. When I called to make my purchase, he told me that he was sorry but he couldn’t do it because the oil had been changed for three weeks! I’m not sure if the oil had changed, it just looked like it had.
In other words, its a known dealer issue. But that doesnt mean that you shouldnt be a part of the problem. Dealerships need to know that the customers are going to be happy with their service, even if they cant do everything.
That being said, you should still be a part of the problem. If you cant fix the problem, you’ll never know. It’s not like you can just put a notice on the dealership website and expect the dealer to fix the problem. So, if you want to get involved, try to find a dealer that has been in the industry for a while. You’ll have a better chance of finding someone that is willing to fix the problem.
But if you want to help, then by all means make a call and get the dealer fixed up.
One of the things we love about the Toyota Highlanders are the vehicles’ high visibility. That plus the fact that they are pretty much the only car on the planet to get the green light for an emissions inspection. If you are ever in a situation where you need to get the car inspected, you might want to do it on your own time. You can find out what kind of emissions inspection the vehicle will require by following the instruction leaflet you receive from the dealership.
That’s not to say you should drive it home. However, if the emissions inspection goes wrong, you should be able to take a look at it and fix it yourself. That’s because the system the manufacturer uses is very expensive and requires professional supervision. It’s not something that can easily be done by a casual enthusiast, so you’ll have to come to the dealer to have the car inspected.
For the more adventurous, there is the option of a “parts kit” that can be purchased from dealers for an extra fee. These kits include a parts list and instructions for fixing the problem yourself.
But what about fixing a problem in a car that requires professional help? Well, with the highlander you can go to a dealership where the technicians are trained to fix the problem. This is very helpful if you’re a first-time owner and the car is in bad shape. This is also useful if you have issues with the car’s underpinnings and need to get the car in good shape.
You can also find the car parts kits and instructions on tesla.com, but even that is not the most appropriate place to look as it is not meant for the DIY community. But you can find online forums where you can find more information. But what does the part list look like on a vehicle that is in bad shape? Not much, to be honest. Its location is on the fender, and it is probably at least one of those parts that doesn’t exist anymore.
